Surgery update

so thankful for all the prayers and support while don is in hosp...i just came home after being there since wed morning to get some more clothes and take a shower. He had the surgery and oh my gosh you should see his foot..I was shocked...a cross cut incision about 5 in long and 4 in wide on the bottom of his foot and juts below his big toe they had to remove a  section that had died off...they removed a lot of tissue and were really concerned yesterday because of blood flow.but today it seems a lot better...the dr said he was relieved and will chk again tomorrow...they are leaving it open ti heal from inside out.so he will be off his feet for quite a while...he is very weak. the antibiotics make him sick, but the fever has been down since early this morning...I have a chair that turns into abed in his room so I can be wiht him adn take care of him...all they have to do is bring his meals and meds...and change the iv bag...

I don't have time to email everyone but want to say thanks again for all the prayers and well wishes...will be back mon morning...

Hi Vickie:) That all sounds good and now he is on the mend. I know his foot may not look good, but like Deloris Caiborne said, "I ain't gonna be tryin' out for no beauty pageants anyhow." LOL.
I had one of those chair beds too when my son was in the hospital after the docs misdiagnosed him three times for appendisitis and he got gangrene.
We'll keep you and your hubby in our prayers. You keep your chin up and Don's spirits up.
Hugs~Carol
